"Without doubt one of the best restaurants in Gainesville for any occasion. The chef/owner, Andy, will graciously accommodate any reasonable request. Dishes that are routine at most restaurants are absolutely delicious here. The staff is excellent. Restaurant is very close to the Hippodrome (an Actor's Equity Theater as well as an "art movie" theater)."

"What a wonderful dinner! The service was excellent, the restaurant had good aucustics so that sound didn't echo as it does in some restaurants, gave it a cozy intimate feel without being overly quiet. Food was very delicious with a nice variety to choose from and was served w/ salad and bread. Price was reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere. We will definitely return."

"A+++ "northern" italian food. Quite the great restaurant, especially for Gainesville. Many wonderful and delicious veal entry selections. Owner/Chef Andy is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone who enjoys Italian cuisine."

"Great dining experience, you can always rely on the chef to cook the fish properly without drying it out. The mussels appitizer was great, my wife does not like mussels but loved this dish. This is a restaurant that I enjoy showing off to guest who visit."

"We have been to Amelias many times and have always had a great experience and great food. The "new" owner/chef (actually not so new, but we also remember the previous owners, has done an amazing job with the menu. He also comes around to see how things are going. The wait staff is professional, knowledgeable and very service-oriented. Amelias is our favorite restaurant in Gainesville - and surrounding areas."
